5 Powerful Mind Success Strategies

We all face challenges in life.  Altering your perception of "change", in particular thinking that change is a bad thing, is a must.  Change is a necessary part of life.  It is nearly impossible to stretch ourselves and grow without challenges that eventually result in the change that we desire.  This concept can be applied to any area of your life.  From changing a habit or behavior to changing a job, a career or even building a business.  All these are fantastic and challenging experiences.  You can wake up exhilarated to begin your day and go to bed feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. 
The key to success is to maintain a positive, yes you can do it, mindset.  Easier said than done, right?  Here are 5 keys to help you create and sustain a positive mindset so you attain the success you desire.
1. Surround yourself with successful and positive people.  The influence people have over our own personal energy is amazing.  Moods and attitudes are so easily spread – think about how much of a difference a simple smile from a stranger can make for your day and then magnify it 1000 times to demonstrate the power of positive and successful friends, family and associates.  When you have people around you who inspire you, believe in you and want you to succeed, there’s no room for doubts and even when they creep up, they’re quickly swept away.  
2. Create a mantra or an affirmation.  Repeating positive affirmations has been shown to get people through tough times and to actually help them truly believe what they’re saying. For example, for weight loss you could say to yourself "I am slender and graceful" or "I eat only healthy foods".  To change a lifestyle to include exercise you could say "I love moving my body" or "I know how good I feel when I include exercise in my life daily".  When changing careers or starting a business you could say "I am successful in my new carreer" or “I am building a powerful and profitable business.”  Many of the most esteemed business professionals have used the same affirmation strategy to attain their success.  To find the right affirmations for you, consider writing a quick list of your doubts, insecurities and complaints.  These can then be quickly turned into affirmations.  For example, if you write that you’re always feeling disorganized then your affirmation would be, “I am organized and in control.”  Repeat your affirmations several times a day and feel the power of positive thinking.
3. Capture negative thoughts.  We all have negative thoughts from time to time, however, negative thoughts and emotions can derail us and prevent us from achieving all we desire.  Of course catching those negative thoughts takes practice and persistence.  When you find yourself thinking negative thoughts or having negative emotions, find a trigger to turn them around.  The affirmations mentioned above are a great way to turn the negative into the positive.  You can also find quick pick me ups like a favorite song, a walk outside in the fresh air, or some exercise to help improve your mood.
4. Set goals/intentions and then be willing to let it go.  The law of attraction says that we attract what we focus on the most.  However, desperation, needing to lose weight, stop smoking, including more activity or needing your business to be a success, sends mixed messages and a lot of negativity into the universe.  Set your goals and intentions and then let them go.  A certain amount of faith in yourself and in the power of attraction is necessary.  Give it a try.
5. Be grateful.  Gratitude is perhaps the single most powerful and positive tool for success.  When you’re grateful for all of the wonderful things and people in your life the challenges you face seem significantly less important and are more easily dealt with.  Consider keeping a gratitude journal and make a practice of entering into it daily.  That way, when you’re facing challenges a quick peek at all the amazing things in your life will make you feel as if you can tackle anything.   Additionally, an attitude of gratitude helps you maintain a positive perspective and to face challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles. 
Success is within your reach and with the right attitude you can accomplish anything you set your sights on.  Embrace these five powerful mind success strategies and you’ll build a good foundation for living a happier, more satisfying life.

Good Morning!

Good day to everyone!  I am so happy that Spring has sprung finally!  I absolutely LOVE the spring season and all that goes with it.  The birds are chirping, the bees are buzzing, the blossoms on my fruit trees smell so sweet!  I love all the colors of the multitude of flowers, grasses, weeds and leaves.  Today, the sun is out and the breeze is cool.  What more could you ask for?

10 "How To's" For The Kitchen

Now, I have to say that I hesitated to post this since some of the tips this article provides are not all for healthy food and drink.  But then I thought, why not?  We're not perfect and some of you may be at different stages in your health journey than others.  What matters is that you are first aware of what healthy means, second willing to make some changes toward a more healthy lifestyle, and third that you stick with your positive changes and continue to add more. 
But this article isn't about changing anything to become more healthy.  No, it's about how to make your food preparation easier.  There are some good ideas and others I would put in the interesting category.  A fun article nevertheless!

If you’re like me and would rather make a personal product that you use on a daily basis than buy it, you will love these ideas! 
If you’d rather purchase something at the store, I encourage
you to think about what ingredients you are putting on or into your body and
what affect these can have on you.  
Some of the ingredients used in our every day products contain chemicals which are
known to cause cancer! 
According to a recent health report from the UK (1)…
“Toxic cancer causing (carcinogenic)
chemicals in the air we breathe, the food we eat and the personal care
toiletries we use on our hair, skin and in our mouths may be contributing to
the spiraling rate of cancer and metabolic disease whilst speeding up the aging
Try these simple recipes to make your own deodorant,
mouthwash and bath salts in less than 1 hour
You will need the following ingredients:Alcohol, witch hazel, tea tree oil, lavender oil, aloe vera
gel, water, a funnel and a small spray bottle (4 oz).Place 1 Tbsp alcohol (I use vodka), 20 drops each of tea
tree and lavender oil and 2 Tbsp aloe gel into the spray bottle using a
funnel.  Fill the remaining space in the
bottle with witch hazel and then with water (leave some room at the top).  Shake and use!  Simple Simon!
You will need the following ingredients:Alcohol, baking soda, essential oils (such as peppermint,
clove, spearmint, cinnamon, tea tree oils), water, a funnel and a bottle (I use
an empty wine bottle but any 3-4 cup capacity bottle will do).Place ½ cup of baking soda into your bottle using a
funnel.  Add 1 cup of alcohol, 20 or so
(to taste) drops of your favorite combination of essential oils (warning; if you use cinnamon or clove use a
smaller amount of drops in comparison to other oils)
, and fill the bottle
up with water leaving at least 1” space at the top.  Shake well! 
Swish but don’t swallow.
Bath Salts   
(I am giving up all my secrets but I know you’ll thoroughly enjoy this!)
You will need the following ingredients:Kosher salt, essential oils, a funnel, a pretty bottle or jar with a mouth wider than 1” and a lid and chopsticks (optional: dried flowers or herbs crushed).Fill up your bottle or jar with salt leaving at least 1” at the top (If you are using the optional ingredients you will want to mix up the salt and herbs and or flowers into a bowl and then using a funnel, fill up your bottle).  Place 15-20 drops of your favorite  essential oils or combinations.  Mix with a chopstick. Place lid on the jar to keep the smells in.  When using, add approx 2 oz of the salts to your warm bath water.  Sit back and enjoy your aromatherapy experience!
